The Bradley Collection
One of my favourite assignments of 2011 was to create a new photographic feel for my dear friend Priscilla Bradley who owns The Bradley Collection. For a whole month I took finials out with me wherever I went including a family holiday to Wales.

The Bradley Collection has always been about thoughtful design, attention to detail, superb functionality and impeccable product quality. For this, the brand is rightly famous. The Bradley philosophy though, also encompasses a belief in providing a special, tailored, individual experience for its customers.The Bradley Collection is a truly bespoke interior design brand and within the company, this is the mantra… “We can do anything”.

This sort of self-belief and attitude has led to successful projects like The Corinthian Hotel, where the request was for a 17-metre long, continuously curving curtain pole for the lobby. The answer from The Bradley Collection to the challenge was, of course, “yes, we can do that”. The Bradley Collection is now seeking to develop its bespoke services even further. The launch of the new Foundation Drapery System coincides with the company’s investment in facilities and skills for the bending of 50mm poles, to fit bay and awkward shaped windows. This had been one of the few areas where the company had been obliged previously to say “no, we can’t do that”. No surprise then, that they have worked to put that situation right.

Finishing of products is one of Bradley’s core skills and the team has always been open to one-off requests for special paint finishes. Now, though, Bradley is making it even easier for designers and clients to achieve unusual and thoroughly individual projects, with the launch of its Colour Selector. This offers a choice of over 200 colours and finishes that can be applied on request to any of the new Foundation products, creating a truly bespoke curtain pole.The Bradley Collection – Any size, any shape, any finish, any window…and done with pleasure…
Collections are designed using both traditional skills and the latest technology to create products that last. Whilst many goods are eminently disposable, our products are designed to last a lifetime. Our belief in longevity is also reflected in other aspects of how we address sustainability. Here are some of the recent ways: We keep approximately 30 tonnes of material from entering land fill by recyclin over 15 tonnes of metal, 33,600 litres of cardboard and 7,200 litres of paper annually. We use a proportion of shredded wastepaper as our material for packaging products.

Local manufacturing is intrinsic to the heritage of Bradley; it enables us to create distinctive products designed for longevity using impeccable British workmanship whilst keeping abreast of the latest trends and techniques. Whilst we source some components from other parts of the world, we overwhelmingly continue to support British manufacturing.

We have established and maintained lasting relationships with suppliers, engineering companies and blacksmiths within our region, allowing us to monitor quality and control the way products are produced. It enables us to offer technically advanced bespoke solutions whilst maintaining the highest quality whether it be a single drapery system or a commercial project. We believe that it plays a hugely important social and economic role within our community.
